Is it safe?

I saw this power strip today. Not uncommon to find Macgyvered versions here and there.

Some of you are looking at this and thinking, “is it safe?”

No one around me seemed bothered by it. Just out there in plain sight with electrical tape being the only thing keeping the live wires from being exposed. In the US, it’s inexpensive and accesible to get a good quality power strip. Not so much here.

Maybe there is a life/ministry lesson here.

I wonder how many time I missed out on an opportunity to share the gospel or disciple someone because I didn’t think I was knowledgeable or “perfectly” ready to serve.

In life, ministry, parenting and discipleship, we have make it work moments. Work with what you have. When you are plugged in to God’s will, He will empower you.

This power strip may not meet safety standards in in the US, especially considering that this was at a school. But here, it didn’t matter. What mattered was that this thing was a conduit for electricity to power the printer and laptop that were needed for the event.

Work with have you have right now. Give it to the Lord and align it to God’s will. Be ready to experience awesome…

“Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated, common men, they were astonished. And they recognized that they had been with Jesus.” Acts 4:13 ESV
